Solar Eclipse 2017

36″x36″ Oil, Acrylic, Enamel, Latex, Mylar, Lunaria Biennis seeds on Canvas. Painting finished outside during the duration of the solar eclipse August 21st 2017 in Fort Wayne Indiana, where it was not a full eclipse thus the shadows on the ground split and waved as a sliver of the sun was exposed. The wind blew Lunaria Biennis (aka silver dollar plant, aka money plant-a perennial) seeds onto the painting. Thought fitting for the moment, and the painting was born.
