VRYTH

What's in a Name

The moniker Vryth was first thought up in 1999. At the time, other meanings could not be found behind the conglomeration of letters other than some random unknown word found in a book, once referenced from the 1500's with no real known definition or translation.

Origins

The concept behind the name Vryth was then based on fascination with Norse mythology. Vryth became a derivative of a handful of those Norse gods and goddesses with 4 main gods and goddesses being primarily considered. Var, the goddess of love, marriage and contracts. Vor the goddess of  wisdom. The Valkyries, the beautiful and strong female Norse angelic figures who are known as the “choosers of the slain”. Following behind it all the god Thor, the god of sky, thunder, fertility and wielder of the hammer Mjollnir.

Thor is often associated with law and order and the Guardian of the Norse gods. From this collection became the name behind it all. The name itself correlates with the quality and character of these products, created to be distinct, regal, beautiful, and powerful.
